Ifeanyi Felix Nwosu, the former Gor Mahia and FC Talanta defender has been named the new coach for Somali Premier League (SPL) giants Heegan FC.
Ifeanyi, who has also served at National Super League (NSL) side Ligi Ndogo SC, based in Nairobi, will be crossing over to Somalia immediately as the team looks to shape up in time for the new season.
The Nigerian will meet his countryman Harry Gentle at the team. Gentle a former AFC Leopards, Sofapaka, Ligi Ndogo and Muhoroni Youth defender has been with the club for two years now.
The team was dethroned in the recently concluded season and Ifeanyi is among the personnel roped in to help bolster their ranks in the challenge for the title and he says he is ready for the challenge.
“I know it is going to be a tough venture but I am ready for it. I have videos of the team and I have an idea of how they play. I have a plan and I know it will go well,” he said.
