The race is over for Kenyan international Paul Were in Greece after his team was condemned to relegation following the loss to PAOK in the Greece Super Cup clash on Sunday 20 March.
Were’s side slid to a 0 – 3 away loss in the round 27 clash played at the Stadio Toumbas in a match that was a must win clash, and with the loss, the team is 11 points off the safety zone with just three matches to go.
The winger named on the bench in the game and just as was the case with his South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Amazulu FC last season, he got relegated again.
Ioannis Mystakidis opened the scoring for the hosts on the 28th minute before Athanasiadis Stefanos doubled scores on the 58th minute and Nikos Korovesis came off the bench to seal it with a 78th minute goal.
Kalloni has so far managed 15 points from 27 matches and plays the next two matches at home to AEK Athens and Atromitos before finishing off the season with an away trip to league leaders Olympiakos Piraeus
