Martin Carelse wants to see Amakhosi starlet Emmanuel Letlotlo get a proper chance and prove himself like Marcus Rashford at Manchester United.

Letlotlo was Kaizer Chiefs top scorer in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, the junior and reserve league in SA.

“I think given the opportunity, yes he can do something similar like Rashford,” Carelse told Goal.com

“It will also depend on the supporting from the senior players.

“You know in most cases the senior players, they hang around together too at times.

“They will push him aside and they won’t give him the support that he needs.”

Carelse’s words are surprising but he’s speaking from experience in PSL camps.

“Unlike in Europe, everyone there knows that they are there for themselves but they support the young up-and-coming players because they know if he does well than the team will benefit.

“Here in South Africa, where you find the senior players feeling threatened by the players coming in and maybe doing the business,” Carelse added to Goal.
