Third loss for Olunga in Sweden

Kenyan international Michael Olunga featured from the 58th minute as his Djugardens IF side suffered a third straight loss in Sweden following a 0 – 3 defeat away to Elfsborg at the Boras Arena.

Elfsborg were the better side in the match and Lasse Nilsson broke the deadlock on the 36th minute before Viktor Claesson doubled the lead on the 43rd minute for a two – goal first half cushion.

Djurgardens Coach Pelle Olsson introduced Olunga for defender Stefan Karlsson on the 58th minute in a bid to make it better for his team but a 66th minute goal from Viktor Prodell was the final nail for Djugardens.

Djurgardens has nine points from six games, having won their opening three matches of the season and sits sixth on the 16-team Allsvenskan table. They host Ostersunds FK in their next match on Monday 2 May.

The match was Olunga’s fifth for the club.
