Gambian star Ebrima Sanneh is no longer at Nairobi City Stars, the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side has confirmed.
Sanneh spent the 2015 season with the Kawangware side and it has just emerged that he was there on loan from Gambian side Real de Banjul who, City Stars chair Peter Jabuya says, tabled outrageous demands for an extension in the 2016 season.
The striker, who was City Stars, top scorer on 11 goals in the 2015 season has not attended any of City Stars’ training sessions in the year and Jabuya admits that it is enough sign to show he is no longer committed to the team.
“Sanneh is no longer our player; he was here on loan from Real de Banjul until the end of 2015 and he has not been in training all through this month so it is safe to assume he has left the club for other prospects.
“We wanted to keep him here for another year after his good performance in the 2015 season but his parent club table demands that we could not match and thus we decided to let go. I hear he is in talks with Posta Rangers and we can only wish him well,” he said.
