Dutch-based midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo pulled out of Tuesday’s training session with the South African national team squad.
Fears are growing after striker Dino Ndlovu pulled out of the team on Monday. However Bafana team doctor Thulani Ngwenya has eased fears about the FC Twente players thigh problem.
“It’s true. Mokotjo was rested as a precaution measure as he had a tight thigh muscle,” Ngwenya told Goal.com
“We will monitor him on Wednesday and see his progress but it’s not a serious injury.”
Mokotjo will hope to get a chance as SA coach Shakes Mashaba hasn’t given him a proper chance, and previously mocked his fitness despite playing well in the Dutch league.
Ligue 1 Troyes defender Anele Ngcongca and Orlando Pirates left back Thabo Matlaba are also recovering.
“The good news is that other players like Anele Ngcongca and Thabo Matlaba have resumed full training and they are looking good,” Ngwenya confirmed to Goal.
