Two Kenyan referees, Davies Omweno and Aden Marwa Range have been handed match appointments by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ahead of the final round of qualifiers for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Center referee Omweno and assistant referee Marwa will be on duty in the match pitting DR Congo against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday 4 September at the Martyrs Complex Stadium.
Omweno will be the reserve referee in the clash while Marwa will be the first assistant referee in the game that will be run by Gambian referee Bakary Papa Gassama with Gambian Sulayman Sosseh officiating as the second assistant referee.
CAF has also picked the match officials for the Group E clash pitting Zambia against Kenya’s Harambee Stars in Lusaka on the same date.
Keita Mahamadou will run the clash as the center referee. Keita will be assisted by Balla Diarra, serving as the first assistant referee while Drissa Kamory Niarie will serve as the second assistant referee with Boubou Traore slotting in as the fourth official.
Kenya have four points in the group and the qualifying match has no impact at all.
