Nigerian striker Daniel Uchechi has secured a year deal after a successful trial period with English outfit, Boreham Wood Football Club.

The club on its official website confirmed the deal for former Nigeria U23 international who has played the last four seasons in Sweden with AFC United and Dalkurd.

The deal for Uchechi is coming after the 26-year old impressed in test games Brentford, Reading and Peterborough.

Boreham Wood Coach Luke Garrard said he is convinced that Uchechi will be a good addition to his team as they hope to compete favourably next season.

“Daniel trained with us at the back end of last season but I wasn’t in a position to do anything. I knew then he was a good player but I needed to be sure that what I’d seen on the training pitch, would be translated into matches. After three games against good opposition I’ve seen enough and I’m delighted that Daniel is joining us and he brings versatility and strength to an ever improving squad”.. Garrard told the club’s official website.

Before now , Uchechi has also starred for clubs like Leicester City, Charlton Athletic and West Ham United among others.
