Real Madrid’s defender Dani Carvajal will not be part of Spain’s squad to next month’s European Championship in France following an injury he suffered in Milan on Saturday.
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is expected to go in Carvajal’s place after del Bosque confirmed he would remain with the group while the extent of Carvajal’s injury was determined.
Its is understood the Real Madrid fullback needs three weeks to recover from the thigh injury suffered in the Champions League Final, putting the defender out of Euro 2016.
AS reports the diagnosis on Carvajal who was forced off part-way through Los Blancos’ penalty shootout win over Atletico Madrid, Danilo coming on in his place.
It’s said that both the medial teams at Madrid and the Spain national team have agreed that Carvajal can’t be considered for France, having been named in Vicente del Bosque’s preliminary squad.
