Unwanted former Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has finally been bought by Crystal Palace.
CPFC were haggling with LFC for the most part of the transfer window, and eventually got their man for £32 million, as part of a four-year deal.
His contract wages is believed to be around £120,000-a-week, and becomes Selhurst Park’s record signing.
There is an initial £27m, plus another £5m in add-ons. It’s also good business for Liverpool who are getting back what they paid for the Belgian to Aston Villa at the beginning of last season.
The Reds got Danny Ings and Divock Origi fighting for a starting position, as Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino could be considered the favourite choices.
Then even Sadio Mane could play there if none of the above are available.
