Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo has completed a loan move to Charlton Athletic till the end of the season.

The 23-year old initially went out on loan to Ajax Amsterdam in Holland but returned to England to join Charlton after the club made serious attempts to land him. The Addicks are currently struggling in the Championship and are in need of some firepower and pushed to right buttons to land the Frenchman.

The lure of returning back to London was also inviting for the striker, who had only made four appearances for Ajax.

Sanogo joined Arsenal in 2013 from Auxerre but couldn’t get enough minutes on the pitch and was sent to Ajax at the start of the season to gain some valuable experience, but also failed to make any major impacts in Amsterdam.

He will be expected to fire Charlton to safety at the end of the season as they currently struggling against being relegated to League One.
