Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is yearning for a return to full fitness and be able to feature again for the Spanish giants after sustaining a knee injury on international duty in July.
The Portuguese international picked the injury after a collision with Dmitry Payet of France in the two nations’ clash in the Euro 2016 final in Paris and has been out since.
After a fine year that saw him win also the UEFA Champions League, he can’t wait to get back to action and his post on his official Instagram account, a video, couldn’t have put it better.
“Looking good. Soon I will be back,” he wrote on Instagram, with a video of him performing running drills.
The star forward missed Real Madrid’s opening game of the season against Real Sociedad which his team won 3 – 0 courtesy of a double from Gareth Bale and Asensio’s goal.
He looks unlikely to get a call up for the next game, against Celta Vigo on Saturday 27 August.
