Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Bandari FC has rubbished the reports that the team has appointed a new coach as a replacement for Twahir Muhiddin who was sacked towards the end of the first half of the season.
The club’s Media Liaison Officer Mohamed Abdulrahman has termed the reports that the club has appointed Rwandan coach Cassa Mbungo untrue even as the coach’s name continue to be linked with the vacancy.
Ken Odhiambo has been in charge of the team on a temporary basis after his elevation following Muhiddin’s departure and the club has stated that in the event a new coach is appointed, the relevant communication will be made.
“I need to refute claims on a number of social media platforms that we have appointed a new coach. The club has a functional press office and should there be any such appointment, we will call for a press briefing and notify all about the same.
“For now the team remains under coach Ken Odhiambo and it is focused on doing well in its assignments. The players are committed to help the team finish high in the season,” he said.
