Kenyan international McDonald Mariga’s team, US Latina Calcio is set to go on the search for a new coach following the departure of Carmine Gautieri at the expiry of his contract after the 2015/16 season.

The club confirmed that the two parties reached a consensual agreement and the coach’s deal will not be renewed.

In a statement, the club thanked the coach for his time at the club which saw the team escape relegation.

The Statement

The US Latina Calcio announces the conclusion of the contractual relationship of sport performance with Mr. Carmine Gautieri. The Club, as a result of the deal, and after formulating its proposal to the coach work, announces that it has come to a consensual separation by virtue of the absence of agreement between the parties.

The US Latina Calcio thanks Gautieri and his staff for their commitment, dedication and seriousness with which they have carried out their work culminating in survival and we wish him the best of luck in his sporting career.

The club acquired the services of the coach at the start of the 2015/16 season, roping him from Italian side Livorno on a one year contract. Gautieri who was a winger in his playing days, amassed a total 227 games with 26 goals at the Serie A level.
