Arsenal could steal AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca from the clutches of Premier League rivals, West Ham, reports have suggested.
The Hammers are believed to be in pole position to land the Colombia striker with preliminary talks between both clubs already underway, with the English side expected to cough up around £25m for the striker.
But Arsenal, who were turned down by their primary attacking target Jamie Vardy, who opted to remain at Leicester, could also now join the chase for Bacca.
While the player was believed to be open to the switch to West Ham, he would however prefer a Champions League club and that could be the knockout for the Hammers.
AC Milan are also willing to listen to offers for the striker, as they also have some pending transfer deals they are yet to conclude and would be hoping the money realized from Bacca’s sale would go a long way in helping them meet their transfer targets this summer.
Meanwhile, it is not just Arsenal that is hoping to get ahead of the queue for Bacca, as Napoli are also reportedly interested, as they are set to part ways with the leading striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is set to move to Juventus.
And Bacca’s agent, Sergio Barila is believed to have now received interest from the Gunners as well as Napoli over the last 48 hours, but it is believed West Ham have made the better offer.
