Bucs fans have come out strongly against coach Eric Tinkler after losing to Golden Arrows in the PSL on Wednesday night.
The #Tinklermustfall cry has gathered momentum, sort of a football version of the #FeesMustFall campaign in South Africa.
Former club striker Bruce Ramokadi has also come out and criticised Tinkler.
“Eric’s selection has question marks for me. I really do not understand why a player like Thabo Qalinge has not played under him,” Ramokadi told Goal.com
“A lot of things are not going well at the moment and it’s bad for the team.”
“The supporters are very discouraged at the moment and you do not need this kind of atmosphere heading into the biggest match of the season. It also affect the player because they get strength from the support of the fans.”
Tinkler is now under immense pressure going into the Soweto Derby on Saturday, a repeat Derby in the Telkom KO next weekend, and then the Caf Confederation Cup final against Sahel.
“Despite all the poor performances, I think Tinkler is still safe until after the final of the Confederations Cup,” he said.
“Everything has fallen apart for the team especially in that defence.
“For me Ayanda Gcaba is the weak link and I think the coach should play Edward Gyimah regularly,” Ramokadi told Goal.com
