Nigerian forward Osaze Odemwingie will wear the shirt of Hull City for the first time tonight when they take on League Two side Mansfield Town in a pre-season friendly later tonight.
The 35-year-old played on loan at Bristol last season after he was released by Stoke City – he failed to secure a permanent move at the Championship club but hoping to convince the Hull City technical crew after accepting a trial at the club.
Osaze who has played for the likes of West Brom and Stoke City in the premier league is expected to start the game tonight against Mansfield Town.
Hull City released another Nigerian Sone Aluko at the end of last season and he has since joined Championship side Fulham, Chuba Akpom returned to parent club Arsenal while Moses Odunbanjo was heavily injured and will be out for six months.
The Tigers as they are fondly called returned to the premier league just a year after relegation and will be counting on the experience of Odemwingie to survive if he eventually joins them for the 2016/17 season.
