Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson will only be sold this summer to interested clubs for €50m, according to his agent.
Anderson was one of the star performers for Lazio last season which drew the attention of top European clubs as they tried to lure him away from Rome. Manchester United was close to signing him but the deal collapsed at the last moment.
“He will cost any club €50m,” his sister and agent told correios.com in Brazil.
“He is a complete player, but still needs to improve a little bit to fully prove what he can do.”
The 23-year-old is in the preliminary Brazil squad for the Olympics in Rio this summer, but it remains to be seen whether Lazio will give him permission to take part.
“I worked for two years with the squad and there was a lot of competition, but I always found playing time. I think I have a very good chance of being in the Olympics.
“Lazio aren’t very happy, as the tournament is played just before the start of the season, but it is the dream of any athlete to take part in the Olympics, especially in my home nation, in front of friends and family.
“I therefore hope to get permission from the club to make this dream come true.”
