Newly promoted Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Kakamega Homeboyz has completed the move for KCB defender Athman Buki.
The Kakamega side has been in the defender’s pursuit for the entire month of January and have managed to beat the 2009 KPL champions Sofapaka to the defender’s signature.
Team Manager Boniface Imbenzi confirmed to 366football.com that the defender has signed a one year deal with the club and termed him a good catch as the team spruces up for the new season.
“We have completed the deal for Buki after lengthy talks and we have agreed on everything. He has signed a one year deal. This is a big catch for us and we believe he will have a big impact in the team.
“He can play both defensive and offensive roles and with his experience we know he will play a vital part to our season,” he stated.
Buki is the fifth signing at the team after earlier arrivals of Andrew Kulecho, Mike Khaduli, David Juma and Martin Imbalambala.
