Valencia‘s director of football Jesus Garcia Pitarch has slammed the referee, Undiano Mallenco as he claims his wrong calls aided Barcelona to a 3-2 win at the Mestalla on Saturday.
Lionel Messi gave the visitors a first half time lead with his sixth goal in three games after 22 minutes but former Barcelona man Mohamed Munir restored parity seven minutes after the break.
Rodrigo then put the home side in front four minutes later before Saurez drew level with Messi’s added time finish from the spot proving just enough for maximum points for Barcelona and Prandelli’s first defeat since being named Valancia boss earlier in the month.

Pitarch however told the club’s official website that Mallenco should be embarrassed with his display.
He said: “We must condemn and criticise the referring from Undiano Mallenco. He will be embarrassed to watch this game back one day – both he and his assistants. In the first 30 minutes he made three absolutely decisive decisions.
“A goal when Luis Suarez was in an offside position and impeding Alves from seeing the trajectory of the ball, a very clear second yellow card for Busquets which he let off and a penalty on Rodrigo that he waved away.”
The away win has seen Barcelona momentarily go top on the La Liga standings.
