Griezmann admits Premier League love

Antoine Griezmann has alerted Arsenal and other Premier League clubs that he would fancy a move to England.

The 25-year old has said he would like to play in the Premier League if he leaves Atletico Madrid, an admission that will sure rile the interest of Premier League clubs.

Griezmann is regarded as one of the world’s top talents and played a huge role for both club and country earlier in the summer, as he helped Atletico get to the final of the Champions League, as well as helping France reach the Euro final on home soil, but however suffered the disappointment of losing on both occasions.

He has already been linked with Premier League clubs in the past and also this summer, but looks set to stay on at the Vicente Calderon, and he admitted his admiration for the English league.

“Yes, why not?,” he told the Guardian when asked about the notion of moving to the Premier League. “If I am out of contract with Atletico I would ask myself that question.”

The France striker also talked about his love for England legend David Beckham and says the former England captain inspired him to wear the jersey number 7.

“I liked him a lot. He was my idol. That’s why I wear a long-sleeved jersey and wear the No7,” he said of Beckham.
