Turkey Captain Ardan Turan is excited ahead of his debut in the El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona this evening.
Arda Turan joined the Catalan club last summer but was unable to feature in the first meeting which ended 4-0 in favour of Luis Enrique’s men due to a FIFA-imposed ban which has since been lifted.
However, the former Atletico Madrid star had joy in his last game against Real Madrid when he scored winner in a 2-1 away win at the Santiago Bernabeu for Diego Simeone’s win before leaving for the Nou Camp.
“I was not available for the first game but I watched from home and I totally enjoyed it,” Turan said.
“I celebrated because I knew I’ll be joining Barcelona. I was in the Atletico Madrid side that beat Real Madrid 4-0 but the win the Barcelona win was sweeter.
“Now, I have the opportunity to play in the El Clasico and am really excited about it.”
Barcelona are top of the La Liga log with 76 points, ten ahead of third placed Real Madrid.
