Super Eagles vice-captain Ahmed Musa will start his first game for premier league champions Leicester City as manager Claudio Ranieri has given him the nod to play alongside Jamie Vardy.
The Foxes who lost the Community Shield to Manchester United last Sunday will begin the defense of the premier league crown against Hull City this afternoon.
Musa moved to the King Power Stadium for a club record fee this summer and showed class when he scored twice against Barcelona in pre-season and forced an error against Manchester United that led to a goal in the Community Shield although they eventually lost 2-1.
Also starting for the Foxes is Riyad Mahrez , who has been linked with a move away from the club but there is no place for German international Robert Huth who is serving the last part of his three match suspension from last season.
So, new signing Luis Hernandez starts alongside Captain Wes Morgan while for their hosts Hull City, they are still without a manager since Steve Bruce left the club.
Ranieri told reporters in the pre-match interview: “We want to start well, but we know it will be more difficult this season. If they give me everything then I am happy.”
