Ethiopian Premier League side Addis Ababa FC has written to Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Posta Rangers asking to have Kenyan international Geoffrey Omusula Kataka head over to Addis Ababa for trials.
The club was recently promoted to the Ethiopian top flight and is bolstering its ranks ahead of the coming season and Kataka, who is well experienced, has been identified as a key target.
The club reveals that the trials will last for two weeks.
“Addis Ababa City FC has been promoted to the Ethiopian Premier League for the next season and we are preparing ourselves by recruiting players.
“We are kindly requesting that you send us the mentioned player ‘Geoffrey Kataka’ for trials with us for a period of two weeks,” read part of the letter signed by Team Manager Endaleyesus Abate Wubetu.
The midfielder has just returned from injury after a long layoff that has left him with very little game time under head coach Zedekiah Otieno.
