Olunga nets again in Sweden

Kenyan international Michael Olunga was once again on the mark as Swedish giants IF Djurgarden registered a 2-0 win over Norwegian top flight side Aalesund in a friendly match played on Saturday 13 February at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Olunga was named among the reserves in the game but came on as a 60th minute substitute for Sebastian Anderson and required just eight minutes to make his mark with a wonder goal from 20 meters out.

Sebastian Anderson had scored the opening goal on the 40th minute.

The goal was Olunga’s second in four friendly matches he has featured for the side so far in the trials.

Earlier in the week, Olunga had attracted a lot of praise from the club’s head coach Pelle Olsson and with another goal to his name, the lanky forward has made s trong point for a contract at the team.

Djurgardens’ next outing will be in the Svenska Cupen (League Cup) against Ljungskile on 22nd February and Olunga will be hoping to have secured a deal to feature in the game.
