African brothers; Kelechi Iheanacho and Andre Ayew were the goal scorers as Manchester City and Swansea City played a 1-1 draw in their final League game for the season on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium.
City needed to avoid defeat to keep their top-four finish drive in place and they were happy to be in front inside five minutes with Nigerian striker Iheanacho firing in the curtain raiser.
The goal for the Nigeria youngster came in the 5th minute as Kevin De Bruyne’s cut-back was met by Aguero, whose shot was kept out before Iheanacho tapped home from just a few yards out.
The players celebrated before the linesman appeared to put his flag up, but referee Mike Dean was happy to let the goal stand and gladly, replays show that it was a right call.
And while it was Iheanacho doing the business for City, another African in Andre Ayew got the equaliser for the hosts.
City end the season with 66 points and while Manchester United have a chance in catching them on same points they will need to beat AFC Bournemouth with as much as 18 goals to clear the massive goals difference between both sides.
