The Kenya national team head coach Stanley Okumbi picked his squad for the Uganda Cranes friendly game, naming a few surprise inclusions ahead of the Tuesday 20 August friendly match.
Chemelil Sugar midfielder Victor Majid who has Ugandan roots was a top surprise therein as well as US based defender David Ochieng, who features for the first time ever in Okumbi’s team.
Ochieng, who plays for New York Cosmos, last featured for the team in the CECAFA Senior Challenge in December 2015 in Ethiopia where he skippered the team.
Joshua Kemboi, who plays for Plymouth Argyle in England is in the team as well as skipper Victor Wanyama.
However, Jonah Ayunga was left behind in Nairobi as he had issues with his passport, while Aboud Omar and Michael Olunga will fly directly to Uganda to link up with the team.
