Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme has hailed former national team Coach Sunday Oliseh for giving him the chance to represent Nigeria.
Ikeme who was brought in as a direct replacement for hitherto first choice Vincent Enyeama confessed that he was sad with Oliseh’s exit from the national team job abruptly.
The England-based goalkeeper who does his thing for Championship side, Wolverhampton tweeted about his take on Oliseh’s exit late Friday night.
Sad to see @SundayOOliseh resign. Would like to thank him for all his efforts and giving me the opportunity to represent the Super Eagles🇳🇬

With Alloy Agu still retained as the goalkeepers’ trainer, Ikeme’s place in the national team may not necessarily be under immediate threat even though there are insinuations that former first choice Enyeama may be returning to the national team with the exit of Oliseh.
Ikeme 29, made his Eagles debut in September in Tanzania, where he was simply outstanding and kept a clean sheet.
