Both captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele and coach Pitso Mosimane are out of contract at the Brazilians, but club boss Sizwe Nzimande is confident of tying them up.
“We’ve presented our offer to him (Rama) and we expect him to talk to us – be that by phone or other means,” Nzimande told the Daily Sun newspaper.
“We know that he has had an offer from Chiefs but he must decide,” he continued.
You would think that these contracts would be sorted earlier for the SA PSL champions.
“We’ve longed to start talks with Pitso but couldn’t disturb him earlier in the year with contracts, as he was focused on the PSL championship race, Caf Champions League and Nedbank Cup,” he explained.
“We are still talking to Pitso but can only hope he will sign, because we’re planning together for next season,” concluded Nzimande.
