Daniel Sturridge is ready to quit Liverpool in the summer after being infuriated by questions of his desire to play for the club.
The 26-year old has been out of the Liverpool team for most part of the season owing to different injuries, and manager Jurgen Klopp has severally expressed his frustrations with the player’s poor medical record.
Some former Liverpool stars have also questioned the striker’s desire to stay fit, a development which has angered the player and he is believed to be fed up with the whole situation and is now angling for a move away.
He still has two-and-a-half-years left on his £150,000 a week contract and Liverpool are expected to demand for a premium fee if he is to be transferred, but concerns remain if interested clubs will be willing to take such a gamble on an injury-prone player.
He has returned from his latest injury, resuming training with the Liverpool squad on Thursday after two months out with a hamstring injury and he believes he will be ready for their Premier League game against Sunderland this weekend but Klopp is likely to only field him next week at the earliest.
