Western Stima head coach Henry Omino is confident his team has what it takes to win the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title in the 2016 season.
The team has 31 points after 22 matches, ten points behind league leaders Tusker and though they are eighth on the log he states that the race is still open and believes with good focus they can challenge for honors.
Omino who is on his third stint at the team, wanted a win over the ten time champions but that never came to pass but he is not giving up; he says they will bounce back in the remaining matches.
“The championship is still wide open and anything can happen; I can’t say we are not in the running and even after this draw we can still bounce back because we have eight matches and I believe those are enough for us to put up a serious challenge. We can get that top spot,” he said.
Omino’s side will be taking on Muhoroni Youth at home in their next match and the coach will be hoping he can spur his side to a return to winning ways after a loss and a draw in the last two games.
