Western Stima has been a surprise package this season in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL); the team that has time and again be referred as a mid table team is showing all the signs of a title contender and rightly so after a fine second leg.
Head coach Henry Omino has turned the fortunes for the team, seeing them lose just once in the second leg and the coach can dare dream.
His ambition at the start of the season was only to finish in the top half but after the good turn in the second leg, there has even been talk of the title from the team and a massive 3 – 0 win over Muhoroni Youth further spurred the ambition.
He says he is glad to be in a position to challenge for honors in the season or at least have a hand on who wins.
“We have really grown lately and the win over Muhoroni was a good one for us because it shows the confidence levels as well as keeping us within touching distance. The boys played well and kept the right levels of concentration, making it hard to find any fault in them.
“We need to continue that way and I believe we will be able to achieve our targets and also challenge up there,” he said.
