England forward Raheem Sterling is enjoying his time at Manchester City playing alongside Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho and the superstars in the team which he rates above his former side Liverpool.
The former Queens Park Rangers academy graduate, who signed for the former Premier League champions in the summer for a reported £49m fee, has scored six goals in 15 appearances in all competitions.
“There are more experienced players here,” Sterling told the Manchester Evening News. “Obviously, Liverpool had many great players as well but the players here have been at the highest level for many years and you can definitely see that on the training pitch.
“The tempo, the passing, the two-touch movement in training; it’s really surprised me. It’s really sharp, really good to be involved in.”
Sterling scored a brilliant goal for Manchester City in their UEFA Champions League away win over Sevilla in Spain and he is likely to play in this Sunday’s premier league match against Aston Villa.
