The team that will represent Kenya in the coming CECAFA Women’s Championships in Uganda has been named ahead of the tournament in Uganda, starting on Sunday 11 September.
From the 29 in camp, the squad has been reduced to 23 for the tournament and has already left for Uganda.
Head coach David Ouma has gone for experience with a backbone of his team made up of long serving players most of who took part in the COTIF tournament in Spain in July.
The coach has also called up young goalkeeper Lilian Awuor who fresh from high school and featured for Nyakach Girls High School in the East African Secondary School Games.
The team will open its campaign with a match against hosts Uganda on Sunday 11 September.
