French midfielder Moussa Sissoko’s reported move to Tottenham Hotspurs will not go through after all. The London side was stated as his desired destination after he revealed his interest to play Champions League football.
Ahead of the transfer deadline, however, the midfielder’s team, Newcastle United has held on its valuation of the player at 30 million pounds, which Spurs was unwilling to pay as per reports in the English media.
A pay out plan of five installments of six million pounds was suggested, to see the midfielder seal the move but that still would not move Tottenham and the deal fell through.
The Frenchman, who has stated all summer that he will be leaving Newcastle United is now on the radar of another top flight side, Everton who are said to be able to go with the Newcastle asking price.
It remains to be seen whether the Merseyside team will be able to wrap up the deal before the deadline.
