The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and Top 8 Cup continue this weekend with one midweek KPL match lined up. In the matches, six players will not be cleared to feature for their teams.
AFC Leopards midfielder Joseph Njuguna is on a red card picked in the previous game, against Western Stima and thus suspended for the match against Sofapaka on Wednesday 14 October.
KCB FC will have defender Bethuel Warambo barred after he received a red card in the game against Ushuru FC and will be ineligible for the Bankers’ match against City Stars on Sunday 18 October at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani.
On the other hand, City Stars will also be unable to call on Ugandan midfielder Yusuf Suf after he got sent off in the previous game, against Bandari.
Ushuru FC midfielder Philemon Otieno will also be ineligible when his team plays host to Muhoroni Youth at the Ruaraka Stadium. The midfielder is on his fifth yellow card of the season.
Two Top 8 semi final matches will be staged at the Afraha Stadium; Sofapaka taking on Sony Sugar before Gor Mahia takes on Tusker both on Saturday.
In the first semi final, Sofapaka will have midfielder Wycliffe Opondo barred after being sent off in the quarters against Chemelil Sugar while for Sony Sugar, Hamidu Kwizera will be ineligible as he is on a red card from the quarter final win over Ulinzi Stars.
