Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has been slapped with a three match touchline ban which means he will no longer be in the dugout in the remaining matches of the La Liga season.
The Argentine finds himself in trouble after being seen apparently instructing a ball boy to throw a ball on the pitch to interrupt a Malaga attack in his team’s La Liga clash on Saturday 23 April.
He was sent to the stands for his action in the match as his team went on to win 1 – 0
For the suspension, Atletico Madrid Manager Simeone will miss the home game against Madrid neighbours Rayo Vallecano on Saturday 30 April, the trip to Levante on Sunday 8 May and the home game against Celta Vigo on Sunday 15 May, the final day of the season.
Atletico, who are second to La Liga leaders Barcelona on goal difference, have 10 days in which to appeal.
