Stoke City new signing Xherdan Shaqiri claims that there is a possibility of making a return to former club Inter which he left after six months of joining them.
The Switzerland international spent half a season at the Milanese side after making the switch from Bayern Munich before being sold on to Stoke, but Shaqiri says that the experience hasn’t dented his admiration for the team.
“At Inter, unfortunately not everything worked out the best,” he reflected to FcInterNews.
“The club needed someone to sell and unfortunately I was one of the players who could bring in some money,” he continued.
Shaqiri who appeared 15 times in the league for Inter last season, scoring once add:“I spent six happy months at Inter, excluding the most recent times,” he added.
“Of a return? I cannot rule that out, in football you do not know what can happen.”
Shaqiri missed the match against Aston Villa with a thigh strain before the international break but may be available for the Potters trip to Wales to face Swansea City on Monday.
