The race for who will finish second continues in Serie A, with Juventus already crowned champions and Napoli and Roma already sealing the remaining Champions League places .
Second placed Napoli retained their position courtesy of their 2-1 win at Torino, who had a man sent off in the game. AS Roma also kept the chase with a resounding 3-0 win over Chievo.
Juventus were reduced to 10-men and were surprisingly beaten by 2-1 by Verona but it counted for nothing as they are champions already, while Verona will return to Serie B.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan will not be in the Champions League next season, despite their 2-1 win over Empoli as they have finished fourth on the table.
AC Milan are also out of it, but still went on to beat Bologna 1-0.
Elsewhere, Lazio were 3-1 winners at Carpi, Atalanta and Udinese shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Fiorentina and Palermo played out a goalless draw while Sampdoria were beaten 3-0 at home by Genoa. Sassuolo were 1-0 winners at Frosinone, who return to Serie B.
Fiorentina, Sassuolo and AC Milan are fifth, sixth and seventh respectively, while Lazio Chievo and Genoa make up the top 10.
Verona and Frosinone are relegated, while Carpi and Palermo could join them next weekend.
