Nigeria striker Aaron Samuel is yet to travel to Germany for his knee surgery as he’s still awaiting a German visa, fcnaija.com understands.
The 21-year old suffered a minuscule injury in a Russian Premier League game against Terek Grozny on the 7th of May, and has been out of action since.
He is scheduled to have a surgery in Germany, but is still in Russia as he awaits the issuance of his German visa.
“He (Samuel) is still in Russia but will travel to Germany for the surgery as soon as he gets his visa which we expect to get in the next few days,” a source disclosed to fcnaija.com.
“He’s in high spirits and we pray for a successful surgery and for him to return to action soon,” the source added.
Samuel had scored three goals in 10 appearances for CSKA, before suffering the unfortunate injury which has ended his season.
He was also one of the invited players for Nigeria’s friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg, but had to pull out due to the injury.
