Nigeria international Gbolahan Salami is supposedly close to a move to a yet to be identified club outside the country.
Sources closes to the striker revealed that Salami should seal his foreign move which is still under wraps by the first week in the New Year.
“Negotiations are almost done I can tell you, I believe that before the end of the first week in New Year everything would have been sorted” a source close to Salami revealed.
Many have submitted that Salami who scored 17 goals this past season is long overdue for a stint abroad having paid his dues on the home front as it were.
Indeed, he has not been lucky in this regard with a a failed move to South African club Mamelodi Sundowns and early this year, a move to Serbia collapsed after Red Star Belgrade could not pay the Nigeria striker.
The craving for a career abroad has seen him stay away from the CHAN training squad, who are set to jet out of the country on Saturday.
