The Kenya national team Harambee Stars arrived safely in Guinea Bissau ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash against the hosts scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 23 March.
The team, made up of locally based players touched down in Bissau at 7pm EAT after a seven – hour flight from Nairobi and checked in at Independence Hotel in Bissau after being received by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa.
One foreign based player, Michael Olunga arrived in Bissau earlier on Monday and was met at the airport by two members of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials sent over in advance.
Skipper Victor Wanyama and at least six other foreign based players are scheduled to link up with the team on Tuesday 22 March.
The team will hold a light training session on Tuesday morning before later in the evening getting the feel of the pitch they will use for the match.
