Russian midfielder Denis Cheryshev could leave Spanish giants Real Madrid ahead of the winter transfer window closure.
Cheryshev has been a top target for Liverpool starting from Brendan Rodgers’ time and heading to the Monday closure, the Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane stated that the Russian could leave in search of playing time.
Zidane stated that with the player’s quality, he definitely needs playing time and ahead of the deadline the Frenchman wishes for the best for the Russian.
“Yes we are going to see tomorrow but I think he could still leave. The important thing for him is to have playing time.
“He is a great player, he needs time and I wish him the best. If he has the chance to leave and play, then I am delighted for him. We will see tomorrow,” Zidane said.
Heading to the deadline, Real Madrid has reportedly had two loan requests rejected, first for Serbian Andrija Zivkovic and then Argentine Martin Benitez.
