Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has given the strongest indication over his availability for the UEFA Champions League semi final clash against Manchester City after going through the entire training session with his Real Madrid side on Monday 2 May.
The striker has missed Real Madrid’s last three matches with a hamstring injury but ahead of the game on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu, the club’s website reports that he went through his paces with the team.
Alvaro Arbeloa, who has been out injured also trained with the team for the entire session on Monday and might just be in line for a call in the match.
However, Karim Benzema who missed the weekend match against Real Sociedad had some light training and remains a doubt for the match, same to Casemiro who picked a knock in the match against Real Sociedad.
“Ronaldo and Arbeloa completed the session with the group while Benzema was out running alone on the pitch. Casemiro, worked inside as a result of a knock that he picked up in Anoeta,” the club site reports.
Meanwhile, youngster Borja Mayoral who had a run in the match against Sociedad has also been called up for the Wednesday match.
The match is balanced at 0 – 0 from the first leg played in Manchester on Tuesday.
