Nigeria U-23 and Anderlecht forward Imoh Ezekiel is throwing his weight behind the Olympic team, Dream Team VI to excel at the Rio games in Brazil.
The former Standard Liege star who last represented the Olympic team in an international friendly against Brazil said the Samson Siasia led side are capable of going far in the tourney; tipping the Nigerian team as one of the favourites for the gold medal.
Nigeria won gold at the football event of the Olympic Games in Atalanta USA in 1996.
“The Dream VI will excel in Rio Olympics , am very sure , I was part of the team that played against Brazil in an international friendly in Rio last two months , the team has a lot of good players , so I have no doubt about the players potentials , the only thing the team needs is luck , hard work and understanding between the pros and the home based , but am sure we shall go far in the championship.” Imoh said.
The 2016 Summer Olympics will get underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
