He is not Real Madrid’s Raphaël Varane, Everton’s John Stones or Paris Saint Germans Marquinhos but Etihad lords Manchester City would care less as they have placed a £30m price-tag on 20-year-old Jason Denayer amid interest from Galatasaray.
Surprisingly, Denayer is yet to make an appearance for the Manchester City first team in a competitive match until he went on loan to the Turkish club who are impressed with his performances and hope to make his move permanent.
According to reports, both clubs had previously discussed a £7.3m move for the defender but Manchester Evening News claims that Denayer is worth £30m.
The Manchester Evening News also claims that Denayer is being groomed to replace 36-year-old defender Martin Demichelis at Manchester City next season. Manchester City are currently top of the premier league log with 18 points after eight matches so far.
