Franck Ribery has revealed that he is nursing the ambition to extend his stay at Allianz Arena with Bayern Munich
The Frenchman claimed that he has held initial discussions with officials of Bayern Munich with the view of sealing a new contract.
Ribery who is the one of the longest-serving players with the Bavarians has spent the last nine years at the Allianz Arena, but as it stands, will be out of contract at the end of the 2016-17 season.
The 32-year-old has claimed that he has an offer to move to China, but wants to extend his stay in Germany.
“I have already talked a little with [Bayern] about a new contract,” Ribery told Bild.
“I still want to stay here one, two more years longer. I am happy, truly happy, to live in Munich. It’s great for my wife and children. If I want a lot more money, I would have to go to China. I had an offer. I’m not interested.”
Ribery has only scored once for Bayern this season due to a host of injury problems.
