Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata had a heavy sigh of relief after leading his team to beat Mathare United 2 – 0 in the Saturday 6 August Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani.
A first half strike from Clifford Alwanga and Allan Wanga’s second half goal secured a 2 – 0 win for the Brewers, who went to the match straight from a shock 0 – 2 loss to Thika United in their last match.
The coach heaped praise on his team for playing according to the instructions and was particularly happy that they kept a clean sheet and head to the match against Western Stima, he wants more of the same.
“The boys played well and according to the instructions and I am very happy with their performance. We scored an early goal and that got us well in the mood and set the ball rolling.
“It is a relief to get back to winning ways and of course keeping a clean sheet after the previous setbacks. The result today gives us the right morale heading to the next match when we play Western Stima,” he said.
