Cristiano Ronaldo hit four second half goals as Madrid drubbed hapless Celta Vigo 7-1 in a Primera Liga match played on Saturday at the Santiago Barnebeu.
After long spells of frustrations from the visitors, Madrid opened the scoring in the 41st minute through Pepe who nodded home from an Isco corner after long spells of pressure from the home side in what was the lone goal of the first half.

Five minutes after the breather the goal-party began when Ronaldo who had been frustrated in the entire first half doubled Madrid’s lead with a thunderous volley. The Portuguese fired home from 25 yards beating Celta keeper who was out of his line. Two minutes later he grabbed his second burying a long-range free-kick into the top left corner with Celta seemingly overwhelmed. After a spell of pressure from the visitors, Iago Aspas reduced the deficit for Celta in the 62nd minute after keeping his composure when through on goal to chip the ball over advancing Madrid keeper Keylor Navas.
Ronaldo ensured there was no way back for Celta completing his hat-trick in the 64th minute with the simplest tap-in following a wonderful move which started through Casemiro. He got his fourth of the match and Madrid’s 5th in the 76th minute sending a bullet header past Ruben on Celta goal to make it four goals in the space of 26 minutes.
Substitutes Jesse and returning Gareth Bale grabbed a goal apiece in the closing stages of the game to complete the rout. Jesse fired into the bottom left corner after a good run while Bale run through midfield before burying low shot in off the far post.
