Cristiano Ronaldo hit another milestone with Spanish giants Real Madrid after he netted his 324th goal for the club to break Raul Gonzalez’s record for the highest scorer as he helped his team to a 3- 0 win over Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday 17 October.
Ronaldo went down in the box under the challenge of Simao in an attempt to reach Gareth Bale’s cross on the 16th minute but his appeals for a penalty met a deaf ear from the referee.
Madrid went to the game missing French striker Karim Benzema and his absence could be felt with a number of crosses going begging and on the 25th minute, against the run of play Levante should have taken the lead but Deyverson lost h9is footing at the back post.
Three minutes later Real Madrid took the lead through Mercelo who exchange fine passes with Ronaldo before firing into the bottom corner.
Before the visitors could come to terms with the concession Real Madrid struck again, through Ronaldo on the half hour mark after being picked out by Toni Kroos.
Ronaldo provided the assist for the thrid goal of the evening, picking the run of Jese on the right and the youngster flicked well for the third goal to complete a comfortable rout for the Madrid giants.
